Hyatt Regency debuts in commercial hub of Guangzhou

The landmark Hyatt Regency Guangzhou Zengcheng, which celebrates the history of Lingnan culture, has opened its doors in one of southern China’s economic powerhouses.

This stylish property in the Zengcheng National Economic and Technological Development Zone of east Guangzhou is an eye-catching addition to the city’s rapidly improving hospitality scene.

Hyatt Regency draws inspiration from its surroundings

Zengcheng is traditionally known for cultivating lychees and for being the centre of Lingnan culture, while its proximity to Nanxiangshan Forest Park also attracts nature lovers. As well as benefitting from these associations, Hyatt Regency’s latest property is connected to the Guangzhou Zengcheng Hopson One shopping malls and offices, and just a ten-minute drive from Guangzhou East Transportation Hub.

“We are excited to introduce the Hyatt Regency brand’s signature brand of intuitive service, offer guests energising spaces to meet and connect, and deliver world-renowned gourmet innovation to Zengcheng,” said Albert Hong, general manager, Hyatt Regency Guangzhou Zengcheng.

“With both premium hotel rooms and serviced apartments, Hyatt Regency Guangzhou Zengcheng offers a stress-free experience for business and leisure travellers. It is also an ideal option for families, with dedicated facilities including a children’s pool and play areas.”

Amenities with a sense of place

Hyatt Regency Guangzhou Zengcheng houses 408 guestrooms, of which 21 are suites, with contemporary interiors, city views and natural wood finishes. Lingnan culture is expressed through the inclusion of carefully chosen artwork, and smart technology adds to each room’s appeal. Regency Club access comes with additional privileges such as use of the 20th-floor Club House.

The hotel’s upper floors are then home to 96 spacious serviced apartments, complete with modern amenities like kitchenettes and washer-dryers.

Guests and locals can dine in several venues highlighting thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Signature Chinese restaurant Xiang Yue serves Cantonese, Chaozhou and Jiangzhe cuisine from open kitchens in a space comprising a main dining room and eight private rooms with city views. Moreover, all-day Market Café features interactive open kitchens inspired by nature and freshness, two private dining spaces and a childrens’ play area, while The Lounge offers afternoon teas and cocktails in a space pairing Lingnan style with contemporary design.

Meetings and events such as weddings can be hosted in 31,528 sq ft of event space, including the 9,149 sq ft Regency Ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious foyer, eight multifunctional rooms and a 4,855 sq ft outdoor event garden. Among the property’s other noteworthy facilities are an indoor heated pool, 24-hour fitness centre and dedicated childrens’ pool and playground.
