STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Legoland New York Resort’s exciting themed hotel will officially open to guests on Friday.
The 150-acre theme park opened in May, and its hotel is located just steps away from all the fun. The facility will include 250 themed rooms open for bookings starting Friday.
The hotel is specially designed for families, with imaginative Lego features and themed play areas everywhere you turn — located adjacent to the theme park.
When booking a room, guests can choose from one of four themes — pirate, kingdom, Lego Friends, or Lego Ninjago. The cost of a hotel room will vary based on season, day of week and room type, according to Legoland New York.
View the gallery above for a peek at what the hotel rooms could look like.
The new hotel is outfitted in hundreds of thousands of Lego pieces, which you will see when you first enter the lobby. A gift shop inside will allow you to buy as much Lego merchandise as you’d like, including clothing, backpacks, keychains and Lego sets.
Legoland is offering vacation packages when you book a stay. When you select Legoland New York Resort Hotel for stays Aug. 6 onward, you can get a package complete with two-day Legoland park tickets. The package starts at $98 per person.
The package includes: a Lego-themed room; two-day Legoland park tickets; free full breakfast daily; separate sleeping area for kids in every room; a heated resort-style pool; a special welcome gift for the kids, and more. There’s also a chance to keep the fun going after dark, with play areas, nightly shows and dance parties, as well as in-room scavenger hunts with Lego prizes every day.
Check-in at the hotel is 4 p.m., and check-out is 11 a.m.
For dining options, you can eat breakfast at Bricks Family Restaurant, the Skyline Bar, or The Sandbar.
Breakfast is available from 7 to 10:30 a.m., complimentary with your hotel stay — but you’ll need to reserve your time slot. If you’re visiting Legoland, but not staying at the hotel, pricing is $14.95 for an adult, and $10.95 for kids ages 3-12. The restaurant will also have a dinner buffet.

Legoland New York Resort officially opened for previews in May, inviting guests to the epic 150-acre theme park located in Goshen, N.Y. — just 60 miles north of New York City.
The first major theme park to open in the Northeast in over 40 years, Legoland New York opened with health and safety restrictions in place, such as mask-wearing, social distancing, daily cleaning and ticket reservations.
Before you plan your trip, you’ll need to buy tickets and make reservations in advance online. You should also be aware that there is no re-entry to the park. Due to current capacity restrictions, all reservations and tickets are single-entry only.
Reservations for annual passes and single-day tickets are now available. Day tickets are priced at $69.99, and parking is available for $20 online (or $25 at the gate).
The annual pass is $229.99 for each individual 3 years old and older. It is valid for 12 months from your first visit to Legoland New York, and includes admission to all Merlin North America attractions for 12 months. Parking is included, and you can also get discounts on dining, shopping and more.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Legoland New York website.
The Goshen attraction is the largest Legoland Park ever developed by Merlin Entertainment. It is home to seven themed lands and more than 50 rides, shows and attractions for families with children ages 2 through 12, as well as the Legoland Hotel.
The Legoland resort will be open seasonally — from late spring to early fall, and some educational areas will be open year-round.
