MACKINAC ISLAND, MI – If you are looking to escape the summer crowds and take a fall trip to one of Michigan’s most popular vacation spots, some Mackinac Island resorts and hotels now have autumn specials lined up for travelers.
The most up-to-date way to find the specials? Check the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau’s website, which offers a listing of all the special deals being offered by places big and small.
We’ve also got a run-down of special packages being offered by some of the most well-known spots, including the iconic Grand Hotel.
“Fall is a beautiful time to visit Grand Hotel and take in the change of season all over the island,” said Doug Dean, executive vice president of operations for the resort. “Starting late September through October guests can enjoy the amazing displays of northern Michigan colors from the comfort of a rocking chair on our famous front porch, through our magnificent room views, and by exploring the island and state park by foot or bike.”
Grand Hotel has a couple fall golf specials on tap, as well as a list of weekend themed packages that take the calendar all the way to its closing weekend over Halloween. Here’s a sampling:
