AN ICONIC pub in the heart of the Cowdenbeath community is looking its best courtesy of hours and hours of hard labour and graft.
Wee Jimmies has been a village favourite for decades with the family-run business attracting customers from local and far for years and years.
It is hoped that even more will soon be walking through the door on High Street as the pub has recently undergone a transformation inside.
The Wee Jimmies JJ suite is now fully operational and ready to welcome patrons for whatever the occasion; whether its weddings, birthday parties or anniversaries, the venue can cater for it.
The function hall has been extended and fully refurbished with now even more room for anyone looking for an ideal venue to host an event.
The new hall was named in memory of Jimmy and June, with the latter sadly passing away last year.
June Mathys was the town’s longest-serving landlady up until her passing in May 2020, with her son, Gary Roy, and daughter, Linda Ferris, continuing to run the pub in her honour and in the same “welcoming and friendly manner”.
Christmas bookings are also now being taken for the JJ suite as part of the pub’s festive dinner and cabaret.
If you would rather be out at Christmas rather than keeping an eye on a turkey, Wee Jimmies is the place to be with options for all.
If a Highland Smoked Salmon mousse followed up a fresh butterfly roast turkey and homemade sherry trifle sounds ideal for you, then you best get booked in quick as that is just one arrangement of meals you could be tucking into at Wee Jimmies this Christmas.
Wee Jimmies is known for its bar lunches and a new evening menu has been unveiled to compliment its offerings, with new chef Ryan Graham joining the team.
The evening menu caters for all with a range of steaks and burgers among the grill options, and classic pub favourites such as battered fish and chips, steak pie and Chicken Balmoral the day other choices to get your mouth watering.
If you still have room for dessert, then you have sticky toffee pudding, chocolate fudge cake, a strawberry or chocolate sundae and the cheesecake of the day to choose from.
Whether you pop-in for a quick pint with a pal, a family party or a festive feast, Wee Jimmies is the place to be.
The pub is also set to install a chairlift to increase accessibility as part of the investment into the hostelry.
